Being offered is a superb pair of circa 1907 sterling silver candelabra by Gorham, of Providence, RI, decorated with foliate scrolls and floral sprays, each with removeable candlearms. Please note screw mechanism of candle holder into arm of candelabra arm and separate bobeche. Dimensions: 16 inches high by 15 inches diameter. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo (date letter mark not in photo). Total gross weight 180 ozs. (weighted). These candelabra passed thru the estate of Mathilde “Tilly” Einstein Rosenfield, cousin of Albert Einstein, was married to Morris Rosenfield, a partner in the Chicago-based firm of Rosenfield Brothers & Co., which in the early 20th century owned som of the larges distilleries in the United States, including Sunny Brook and Willow Creek. Morris and Tilly socialized with and formally entertained many of the Chicago captains of industry including Julius Rosenfield, philanthropist and co-founder of Sears, Roebuck & Co.
