Up for auction is an exceptional Pair of two branch highly detailed silver plated brass candelabra. Each features a centrally mounted plinth with a (Satyr) bust of “Pan”. Each branch is composed of a leaf form with garlands and hoofed feet all resting on a laurel & ribbon circular base. They measures 9 3/4″ high, 8″ wide with a 4 1/2″ diameter base. Condition: There are no breaks, repairs or missing parts. The branches are not all straight with normal wear to the silver from use. All origianl but for the four screws on the bottoms of each base that are replacements. These are possibly French in origin or unmarked Edward F. Caldwell as his early pieces were made in Europe and never signed. (See, The Magazine Antiques, Feb. 1988 for Caldwell article).
